Everything TranzVan does today

The phone app for your reps and the web dashboard for you share one set of money rules. What is listed here is built and running; what is still being built is marked coming soon.

On the route

  1. 1

    Buy

    Buy from your wholesalers

Record a purchase on the phone at the wholesaler's counter or on the web: cash, cheque or on account, with a photo of the bill. Average cost updates with every purchase, and you see what you owe each wholesaler.

  2. 2

    Load

Know what is in each van

Stock per van and per storage room, counted in pieces and shown as cases and pieces. Move stock between vans and storage; the receiving phone accepts it. Adjustments always carry a reason.

  3. 3

    Sell

    Sell at the counter

Pick a case or a piece, scan a barcode or search. The price offered first is the last price this shop paid, then its own price, then your default, and the rep can change it. CRV and tax add up as the lines go in.

  4. 4

    Collect

    Collect, take cheques and returns

Take payment on old balances, allocated oldest first or to the invoices you pick. Cheques are tracked from received to deposited, cleared or bounced. Returns go back on the van, or are written off with a photo if damaged.

  5. 5

    Close

    Close the day

You compare each van's counted stock and cash with what the books expect, then accept the day or send it back with a note. An accepted day is locked: its numbers and reports never change.

The rep's counting screen on the phone is coming soon.

Money and books

  • Full double-entry books

Every sale, payment, return and purchase posts a balanced journal entry to a fixed chart of accounts. You never see a debit or a credit unless you want to, and you get a real profit and loss and balance sheet.

  • Nothing is edited or deleted

A posted invoice stays as it was. Mistakes are fixed with a void that reverses it exactly and records who, when and why. Amounts are whole cents end to end, never floating-point.

  • Credit control at the sale

Before a rep gives credit, the phone shows the shop's balance, what is overdue and its credit limit. You choose whether going over the limit warns or blocks.

  • US sales tax

Taxable and non-taxable products, a default rate and per-shop rates. A shop counts as exempt only while its resale certificate is on file and in date; otherwise tax is charged and the rep sees why.

  • California CRV

CRV per container, on its own invoice line, recorded on sales and purchases. It stays out of revenue, cost and profit, and a report shows CRV collected against CRV paid.

  • Cash, cheques and the bank

Cash in hand per rep and for you, cheques in hand, deposits, bank accounts, owner draws and contributions. Every balance is a sum over the records under it, so it always reconciles.

Phone app and dashboard

  • A phone app that works offline

Reps sell, collect, take returns, buy and record expenses with no signal. Each document waits in an outbox and reaches the server exactly once when the phone is back online.

  • PDF invoices and receipts

Invoices, receipts and credit notes are made on the phone, even offline, and shared through WhatsApp, Messages or e-mail.

  • One to three vans

One rep per van, and you can drive one yourself. Reps see only their own van, and they do not see your cost or profit unless you allow it.

  • Owner dashboard and reports

Today's sales, profit, collections and credit across vans, with alerts. Customers with aging and printable statements, wholesalers, products, cheques and money. Reports export to CSV.

Reports, by period and van

Each one downloads as CSV for you or your accountant.

Rules that keep the money right

These are checked by tests that must pass before every release.

  • Invoices, receipts and credit notes are numbered per van with no gaps, even offline.
  • Each document reaches the server exactly once, however many times the phone resends it.
  • Every journal entry balances, checked by the database itself.
  • A day you accept is locked: its reports never change.
  • Each business sees only its own data, on the web and on the phone.
  • Reps cannot change credit limits, default prices or closed days.

Coming soon

  • Routes and best route

Weekday routes per van and a suggested visiting order that respects shop hours and puts overdue balances first.

  • Bluetooth printing

Invoices and receipts on a 2- or 3-inch thermal printer in the van.

  • Close the day from the phone

The rep counts stock and cash on the phone and submits the day for you to accept.

  • More reports and statements to share

Purchases by wholesaler, stock movement, returns, expenses, day-close variances, bank registers and the general journal; statements sent by WhatsApp or e-mail.
